the Kansas City Scape | Kansas City Photographer

ah, the fun Spencer and I had shooting these images!  He really didn’t get the math of it all, but it was a neat experience to share with him just the same.  More Soon…

I don’t care for what the watermark does to the artistic integrity of the images, but they are stellar just the same!  Fun Times in KC.

Park University…and the great Martina Sultanova

I had the pleasure of eating lunch with my two fabulous boys today at the outdoor foyer of the Graham Tyler Chapel (The International Center for Music Hall) at Park University (more photos to come).  We had a great time…  I refer to it as doop-de-doopin’.  And though many make jokes in poor tastes about my verbiage, we stuck around just long enough to me the most amazing Martina Sultanova!  :)

This is General in the foyer…he could have cared less about Martina.  He wanted his cookie and a nap!

We also got to meet the most amazing international pianist, Martina Sultanova!  AHHH!  I felt like I was meeting the Jonas Brothers and I really, really cared!  Spencer didn’t have a clue!  We were amidst greatness!  :)

She even allowed us to go into the hall and look around and take a photograph!  I was stoked!

Here is my wonderful Spencer and Ms. Martina entertaining my ovation!

and of course I was not sporting gear to shoot indoors at a church with the lights off…or with dim lights…but I couldn’t be more excited…

priceless, priceless image, here!

ah the wonderful things this amazing session brought to us!  And this image is the first of many, but I am not sure I would even say it is the best of the evening…  :)

I love Union Station and the city scape in the background!  I am so excited about this shoot, I could rave about it for days!  Perhaps even weeks, but I need a nap…so I will sign off for now!

Little setback this week…

We have had some sad family news this week, and a member of my extended family has passed.

And…my little General has come down with a fever of over 100.  So I will be indisposed for a couple days, but back on top of things soon.  Please know we are working hard for you!  Have a great day!

Middle America Family Photographs

So — some folks talk about their family…and my typical response is:  yeah… my family isn’t like that.  :)

My family is AMAZING!  I couldn’t ask for better… … … This past weekend I had the great privilege of attending my extended family reunion.   We had a great time, and I left with the potent realization that we all need to make getting together more of a priority.

Among this experience was a great time photographing my brother’s family!  We had scheduled this shoot for Christmas time in Austin, but the bug that made it through the 28 of us seemed to put a damper on our plans.

The plans for this shoot didn’t come to fruition either.  :)   We had planned a wonderful sunset session on the lake and both mama and I had some ideas a brewing, but the brakes on my vehicle wouldn’t allow me to leave the metro in time…so rescheduling was blamed on that and road construction; however, my friend Molly saved the day.   She grew up in middle America, so I had called her to see if she knew of any alternative spots and she offered up the family “farm.”  It was a joy to photograph there.

So, thanks to the Trimble’s, and Ms. Molly for saving our shoot, and the clouds for softening the piercing 10am sun.  We have some amazing photographs to show for our efforts.  Many blessings to my brother and his family.  I hope to make this process a yearly event!  :)

Shooting another Photoghraher… | Omaha Photograhper

I always love shooting couples!  For two reasons…

1. The love…oooh, the love!

2.  The fun! The laughter, and the letting me be me…

It seems I only shoot for ROCKIN’ couples.  Couples who love me for who I am, and what I do!

The same seems true of my wedding clients.  I shoot for stellar individuals with amazing personalities.  I couldn’t be more blessed.  Photographing gorgeous individuals that let me do what I do with inherent trust that I will do an AMAZING job is the best thing EVER!

Shooting another photographer puts you in an interesting position.  The one of:  ooh, what are they thinking, the one of what are they analyzing…it is a weird experience, but this is my second time in the process, and I couldn’t have been blessed more.  AND, when the other photographer, LOVES their images, that is even better!  I am so incredible stoked that Ben and Erin have become such great friends and I was honored to shoot their couples photos.  It is AMAZING to see a couple that have been together for 13 years so in love!

I have grown to know Ben over the past few months, and obviously gotten to know Erin through Ben.  ♦  I think they are both AMAZING, and I am in love with the idea of working with both of them in the future.

Here are a few of their couples images…

Thanks again, Ben and Erin for entrusting me with these images of you!  I am forever grateful for your friendship and trust.

Pioneers Park | Lincoln Wedding Photographer

Okay…lets get a little chatty today!

The reality is:  Wedding Photography is ALOT of work!  …  Sometimes I come home so incredibly exhausted, I could sleep for days!  But all in all, the image captured are so worth the stresses of the day and the process.

This weddings was special, since the Bride is my cousin.  And it was odd to recall her as a child… (because I used to babysit her as a youth)… and it makes me feel old!

I was honoured to have been chosen to capture the images from this day.  Thanks and Congratulations, Sam and Jacob!  I wish you all the best!
